My Experience at the School Library - An Essay by a Library Technician
My Experience at the School Library - An Essay by a Library TechnicianMy Experience at the School Library is a nice story, but it has one of the weakest first paragraphs I have ever read. The first sentence sums up the whole essay, 'At the School Library...' It is written as though a reader can come to the conclusion that the story is about something other than what it actually is.Most school libraries have a great collection of books for children and an even greater collection of literature for adults. It seems like a great place to take a child. One day the librarian came in with the littlest boy and took him to the next room. 'What's wrong?' The boy asked.'He doesn't like to read,' she said. 'Oh.' He was completely upset about it.So, out of the blue the librarian went back out to the library and gave him a book about dogs. It was wonderful and the story was so good. You can see where I am going with this story. Here is the beginning of a school library - 'One day in a small town. 'O ne day in a small town' sounds like a fancy way of saying 'one day here.'In another place, the library might be called The Barren Library or 'Barren' Library. In some places it is called The Library of Books and Other Things. Some library collections are The Library Of Sex and Sexual Behavior and The Library Of the Extreme Herder. But, it is a library, not a bookstore. It is not difficult to tell what a school library is, except when a person is being told a story by someone who has never been in the library before. My Experience at the School Library essay in my Grade 4 class was written by a librarian and I can vouch for her. So, my advice to people wanting to tell their own My Experience at the School Library essays would be to be specific about what they mean by My Experience at the School Library.

Prison Blues How America s Foolish Sentencing Policies...
POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS It has been established that the current policy does not work as it was intended to, so thus it must be changed. William Rehnquist, a former Supreme Court Justice, stated his opinion of minimum sentencing during an often cited speech. As stated in his book Prison blues: How America s Foolish Sentencing Policies Endanger Public Safety, David Kopek credits Rehnquist with stating: These mandatory minimum sentences are perhaps a good example of the law of unintended consequences. There is a respectable body of opinion which believes that these mandatory minimums impose unduly harsh punishment for first-time offenders -- particularly for mules who played only a minor role in a drug distribution scheme. Be that asâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦(Kopel, 1994) Rehnquist, a judge himself at this point, believes that mandatory sentencing is the result of knee jerk reactions from legislators. Not only that, but the sentences are unusually harsh on first time offenders, a group which is usually offered some form of leniency in light of the fact that they are not habitual offenders. Rehnquist argues that a better policy would be to return to former guidelines. This is the stance this policy seeks to take. That having such inflexible rules on sentencing does not account for the all the variables that are involved in a the legal process, such as the age of offender, past criminal history, mitigating circumstances and other factors that experienced judges would know to take into account when handing down sentences. Again, on the Rehnquist did mention politicians and efforts to be ââ¬Å"tough on crime.â⬠One such man was Ronald Reagan who criticized those who would lessen punishment for criminal offenders, no matter what the crime. In his 1985 State of the Union Address to Congress Reagan stated: One does not have to be attacked to be a victim. The woman who must run to her car after shopping at night is a victim, as is the tired cleaning woman who can t ride a subway home without being afraid. We do not seek to violate the rights of defendants. But shouldn t we feel more compassion for the victims of crime than for those who commit crime? For the first time in 20 years, the crime index has fallen 2 years in a

William Shakespeare s Poetry Of Shakespeare, Whitman, And...
Discuss the different poetic techniques, themes, and the uses of language in the poetry of Shakespeare, Blake, Whitman, Dickerson, Frost, and Rich. In one way or another, each of these poets has written poems that contain elements of protest against the society of his/her time. In your essay, integrate the idea of protest with their uses of language and poetic technique. Shakespeare, Blake, Whitman, Dickinson, Frost, and Rich are all wonderful poets of their time. They all had a unique style of writing, and used writing as a way to communicate their feeling and bring awareness to some of the political, feminist, racial and oppressive issues of society. Shakespeare was considered a humanist, who had a deep concern with human welfare, love, values and dignity. He believed in living a moral life over a less a godly one. (William Shakespeare, n.d). Shakespeare integrated his beliefs into his writings and those beliefs are evident in his Sonnets. During Shakespeareââ¬â¢s time, only woman that had the physical features resembling a goddess was looked upon as beautiful. Shakespeare used is writing to express what the true meaning of beauty and love is. Sonnet 18 and 130 expresses his beliefs. Shakespeare writings are in blank verse, they have no rhythm and he was not afraid to experiment with words. Genghis Khan should be included into the medieval Hall of Fame. He has good government establishments, he is an effective military leader, and under his control even alone, the Mongol Empire had a vast territory and growing during and after his time, but eventually everything that goes up, must come down. This government system included men on horseback traveling up to a checkpoint of twenty five miles. This also allowed Mongolia to be well communicated. It was created by Khan himself but usually controlled by his generals since Khan had other things to do instead of mainly focusing on communication, which this conclusion to the next topic of military. Khan is one of the most successful conquers that the world has ever known. Khanââ¬â¢s military could adapt itself to rapidly changing circumstances for example. There are two divisions on the battlefield, one travels north and the other travels east of the battlefield. The division that is traveling north gets ambushed by Chinese archers coming from the north east, thelk Mongolian division that travels east then counter attacks the invasion of the Chinese soldiers and saves the day. Khanââ¬â¢s armies were composed of mounted archers on horseback, trained from an early age in military techniques. For warfare he also used many catapults and or trebuchets (a more effective catapult), he also used ladders, and other equipment suitable for the capture and destruction of cities. As a result of all of these campaigns and victories and conquering the Mongol empire grew in power and in size. Mongolia was a very successful empire not to mention that he did have a lot of territory on most of the eastern hemisphere. It was a very ethnically and cultural diverse empire. Comparing Khans Empire to Alexander the greatââ¬â¢s, Khanââ¬â¢s is believed to be ten times as large. Eventually his territory became so vast that it expanded almost as it was automatic, up to 12 million square miles, basically saying that it reached nearly a quarter of the way around the world. In less than ten years he took over most of Juchen controlled by China then he conquered and destroyed the Muslim khwarezm shah dynasty while his generals raided Iran and Russia. Even after his death in one of his campaigns, his empire was so well developed and built that it still continued to grow in size with the help of Khanââ¬â¢s grandson, Kublai Khan, though Khan had the rules already set for his grandson making it a bit easier for him to rule. Genghis Khan was probably known by a lot of people from across the whole eastern hemisphere, they probably think that he was known for his cruelty but his cruelty didnââ¬â¢t come from himself but from a grudge he had been holding from past memories of being held captive, and tortured. His campaigns werenââ¬â¢t driven by the triumph in his victories but by a furious revenge waiting to be released on his enemies. Other than his discipline on others, he had much loyalty for his country and with all of his fighting wills he had accomplished most of his goals, and all of his accomplishments made him one of the greatest leaders of the Medieval Ages. This benefited them tremendously by letting them cross vast terrain that the enemy wouldnââ¬â¢t expect them to cross, creating a surprise attack (86-87); Genesis Khan, after several raids, realizes that the rush to loot the germs of the defeated served as an impediment to more complete victory. Rather than chasing down the warriors of the raided camps, attackers nearly allowed them to flee and focused instead on immediately looting their camps. This policy not only ensured him the support of the poorest people in the tribe, but it also inspired loyalty among his soldiers, who knew that even if they died, he would take care of their surviving families (50) 6. Mongolia and the surrounding area provided pathways and uncrossed terrain that allowed Genesis Khan to sneak up on his enemies and strike effectively. Also, he loud spare a few people so they can run to other empires and spread fear and panic across the steppes. (3-5) 7. One of the reasons that Timeline killed his older half-brother, Better, is because of how he treated Timeline. He would always steal any fish Timeline caught or killed, and would never share his earnings with anyone. Because of this, Timeline killed him in order to proclaim his dominance, to keep his dignity, and (possibly) to keep the family from starving. (24-25) 8. Timeline had to fight Jan-Kuaka, who was his and and his blood brother. Although Timeline had far less soldiers than Kumar, he used many different effective tactics against him, such as the Tumbleweed Formation, where Mongol warriors advanced toward the enemy in divided groups silently. This caused Genesis Khanââ¬â¢s units to strike fast from a single direction, and flee quickly, leaving the enemy wounded but unable to retaliate before the attackers disappeared. Also, Timeline send a guard on a horse so skinny with a saddle so primitive that the captors sent the horse and saddle from camp to camp in mockery to how pathetic the Mongols had become. In another trick, since he had far fewer soldiers than the Kumar, Timeline ordered each man o set 5 campfires every night on the hills where his army camped, in order to make them seem like a much larger army. The Mongols were gaining the advantage, but Timeline did not race to victory. The night before the decisive battle, he told his men to sleep soundly. This is due to the fear inside the Anima, who began to flee in the night. However, Genesis knew that their only escape route was down the steep backside of a mountain, and, unable to see, the fleeing men and their horses fell into the gorge. The next morning, Genesis Khan easily defeated the remaining threats, causing Kumar to disappear into the forest. Timeline executed Kumar;s betrayers on the principle that betrayal merits the harshest punishment. The Secret History states that Timeline offered renewal of their brotherhood, but Kumar insisted that just as there was room for only one sun in the sky, there was room only for one Mongol lord. He asked to be executed by dying a noble death without the spilling of blood. His request was granted by having his back broken by Tennisââ¬â¢s soldiers. It is said that Timeline buried Kumar in the golden belt that he had given to Kumar when they formed their bond of brotherhood. (61-64) 9. The Mongols were effective in expanding their empire, and used any techniques to do so. These techniques were acquired by Genesis Khanââ¬â¢s observations of his enemiesââ¬â¢ attempts to use one or more techniques to attack the Mongols. After he conquered empire after empire, he would spare one or more people that helped create/develop the machinery/ maneuvers/techniques and would use them against other empires, keeping one or more of the engineers with him during invasions for quick assembling for a swift encounter. Genesis also snuck up on other enemies that, out of pure fear and loyalty, they agreed to side with Genesis and bring more goods to the people of Mongolia, thus benefiting the ranking of Mongols. This instilled fear into Genesis Khanââ¬â¢s enemies, and spread word of his terror across the steppes. This increased his dominance and his reign, and whenever people fled to other places to warn them of the unstoppable army of Genesis Khan, it only fueled his hunger for victory with the fear of every empire that would soon be conquered, stolen, and destroyed by the tenacious hands of Genesis Khan. (81-84) 10. Mongol conquests resulted in some of the most destructive wars in human history. In Iran, the Mongol invasion resulted in extermination, disease, and destruction of irrigation yester resulting in mass emigration, famine, and drastic population decline. The Mongols differed drastically from their opponents in the sense of warfare. The Mongols used a variety of attacks, techniques and maneuvers to successfully attack their enemies. The Mongols were viewed as ruthless, brutal and bloodthirsty. In a way, they are ruthless, but their tactics for fighting were far more successful than their ââ¬Å"civilizedâ⬠opponents, which gave them an enormous advantage, and thus making domination imminent. The spread of word about the Mongols helped others know about the coming of he Mongol army, and would even make many people flee towards them in submission. (144-147) 1 . The Mongolsââ¬â¢ encounters with religion had a large effect on their lives. Religious tolerance was evident in their society, so there were many people of different religions. Christianity was viewed as a praised, popular religion by some, but also as a group of hatred by others, due to the killing of Jews by Christians. The Mongols had a system of religious freedom; they required that the needs of the empire be served before there own, however. Christianity was spread effectively around multiple areas, but the Mongols, for the most art, kept their religion and beliefs alive, not letting anything else alter that. (219 and pages from Chi. 9-10) 2. In the book, the Christian Crusaders, when they took cities such as Antioch in 1 098 and Jerusalem in 1 099, slaughtered the Jews and Muslims without regard for age or gender, but merely because of their religion. (116) 3. Genesis Khan used brute force to conquer his enemies. He would destroy empires and steal riches afterwards. Chablis Khan, however, was no Genesis Khan. Chablis, even without the military skills of his grandfather, had clearly outsmarted everyone in his family. He possessed a keen strategic talent and he ability to have, and implement, good ideas; he applied these skills to the management of his territory, and its expansion toward the south. In the end, he proved able to achieve though public politics what his grandfather had not been able to achieve through brute force: the conquest and unification of all Chine, the most populous country on earth. (195) 4. Traditionally, merchants were accorded a relatively low social status in China. The Mongols, however, had a more favorable attitude toward merchants and commerce -? their nomadic way of life, which is much reliant on trade with sedentary peoples, ad caused them to recognize the importance of trade from the very earliest times. Thus, the Mongols worked to improve the social status of merchants and traders throughout their domains. The Mongols always favored trade. Their nomadic way of life caused them to recognize the importance of trade from the very earliest times and, unlike the Chinese, they had a positive attitude toward merchants and commerce. Support for trade characterized not only Mongol policy in China but their policy throughout their domains. The Mongols even tried to introduce paper money -? though this would come merely a failed experiment. Nonetheless, the attempt indicates the desire of the Mongols to provide additional assistance to traders. (250) 5. In the Mongolia Empire, there were common principles/innovations that they created during their rule. Some of these included paper money, international law, diplomatic immunity, primacy of the state over the church, and freedom of religion. These innovations have all led to our advantages in todayââ¬â¢s contemporary lifestyle: Paper money is used all around the world, making it one of the most common forms of currency used worldwide; international away is used to keep order and peace for everyone; diplomatic immunity is used where there are rulers/leaders, making them ââ¬Ëimmuneââ¬â¢ to lawsuit/ prosecution under that host countryââ¬â¢s laws; freedom of religion, which is greatly used today, helps prevent religious prosecution in our society, and lets people freely practice and be proud of their beliefs. (236) 6. As the people infected with the bubonic plague died, they infected those around them by violent coughing, sneezing and gasping. When the plague broke out in Mongolia and China, the Mongols brought the disease north with them. The disease was carried by fleas, but, even though they donââ¬â¢t normally come in contact with humans, they traveled in the food crates of the Mongols. Also, China functioned as the manufacturing center of the Mongol World System, and as the goods poured out of China, the disease followed, seemingly spreading in all directions at once. By 1338 the plague crossed from China over the Titan Shaman Mountains. The same Mongol roads and caravans that knitted together the Eurasian world of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries moved more than mere silk and spices. The roads set up by the Mongols for merchants also served as the accidental transfer point for the fleas and, thereby, for the disease itself. With all the luxurious fabrics and more, the caravans brought the fleas that spread the plague from one camp to another, one village to another, one city to another, and one continent to another. In the sixty years from 1340 until 1400, the population of Asia declined from 238 million to 201 million inhabitants, and Europe from 75 million to 52 million. (242-245) 7. Gender the widespread influences from the paper and printing, gunpowder and firearms, and the spread of the navigational compass and other maritime equipment, Europeans experienced a Renaissance, literally a rebirth, but it was not the ancient world of Greece and Rome being reborn: It was the Mongol Empire, picked up, transferred, and adapted by the Europeans to their own needs and culture. The paintings shared a common source in the work of Ghetto did Bonded and his disciples. Although the frescoes of the church depicted events from the life of Christ, more than a thousand years before the Mongol Empire, only shortly before Mongol contact, the artists depicted many of their subjects as Mongols or used Mongol dress and cloth for them. The artists placed Mongols in a variety of Christian paintings with their distinctive clothing, headgear, and bows. How to cite Genghis Khan, Papers

Lab report ultrasound Paper Apply coupling gel to the scanning surface. 2. Position the transducer above the vertical plane target and perpendicular to the wires. Do not apply excessive pressure as this may temporarily compress the target and skew the measurement. 3. Adjust the instrument setting as for a normal liver technique. Record these settings for used on subsequence testing. . Align this probe so all the vertical targets are displayed at their maximum intensity level. 5. Freeze the image and obtain a hard copy. 6. Using electronic calipers measurement the distance between two wire at various depth or align the echoes to the display markers for comparison. 7. Record these measurements. 8. Compare the measurement values with the recorded baseline distances. 6. Analyze the function of valves in the selected image and compared the valves in the left and right side of the heart. Mode B Dual 1 To display an image only on the left side of monitor. Mode B Dual 2 To display an image only on the right side of the monitor. 7. Explain the effect of Merman syndrome. (15 marks) Many affected individuals are tall, slender and loose-jointed. Arms, legs, fingers and toes often are unusually long. Some people with Merman syndrome have low foot arches (flat feet), and others have high arches. Individuals with Merman syndrome usually have long, narrow faces, and their teeth are generally crowded. Individuals with Merman syndrome can have one or more of the problems described below. The severity of the effects of Merman syndrome varies greatly, even within the same family. The aorta is the bodys largest artery, which carries oxygen-rich blood from the left side of the heart to the rest of the body. In Merman syndrome, the wall of the aorta gradually weakens and stretches (aortic dilation). Eventually, this can cause a tear (dissection) in the lining of the aorta. Blood can leak out through the tear into the aortic wall, sometimes causing a rupture that allows blood to leak into the chest or abdomen. If not detected and treated, these complications can cause sudden death. Abnormal heart valves: Heart valves are tiny flaps or gates that keep the blood flowing in one direction through the heart. With Merman syndrome, the hearts material valve tends to be large and floppy (material valve prolapsed). An abnormal material valve can allow blood to briefly flow backwards during a heartbeat. Sometimes this creates an abnormal sound (heart murmur) that a health care provider may hear through a stethoscope. Material valve prolapsed can sometimes be associated with irregular or rapid heartbeat and shortness of breath. Skeletal abnormalities: Many affected individuals have a lateral (sideways) curve of the spine called scoliosis. Sometimes there is a sharp, forward curvature called syphilis. Many individuals have a breastbone that protrudes outward (called upsets carination) or sinks inward (called upsets excavated). These chest abnormalities can sometimes affect heart or lung function. Sometimes the connective tissue that surrounds the spinal cord loosens and stretches out. This condition is called durra ecstasies and can cause pain in the lower back or legs and numbness or weakness in the legs. Lung problems: Persons with Merman syndrome sometimes develop breathing problems, such as shortness of breath. Breathing problems may result from skeletal abnormalities that do not allow the chest to fully expand or from sudden lapse of the lungs (called spontaneous pneumonia). Adults with Merman syndrome are at increased risk for early emphysema, a breathing disorder usually associated with smoking, even if they dont smoke. Individuals with Merman syndrome also may have short pauses in breathing during sleep, called sleep apneas. Eye problems: The lens of one or both eyes is off-center in more than 60 percent of persons with Merman syndrome (1, 3). This is called octopi lentils. Most affected individuals are nearsighted and have astigmatism (the eyes cannot focus clearly). 8. Why some people with Merman syndrome also have material valve prolapsed? Merman syndrome can cause problems with any of the four heart valves, often it affects the heart material valve, which controls blood flow between the spaces above and below the left side of the heart. Material valve can slip-condition in which the material valve flaps are floppy, not closed and allow blood to flow back in a heartbeat. Depending on the condition, surgery may be needed to repair the valve. If your child has material valve prolapsed (MAP), the doctor may hear a heart murmur (an extra or unusual sound heard during a heartbeat). But it is important to note that having a MAP or inconclusive heart murmur mean that our child has Merman syndrome. 9. Are there physical traits in people with merman syndrome? ( 10 marks) More than 30 of the signs and symptoms that differ variably associated with Merman syndrome. The most famous of these, involving the skeletal system, available in a variety of other diseases (see Differential Diagnosis, below). Therefore, it is not possible to make a diagnosis of Merman syndrome only with ones appearance. Instead, Merman syndrome distinguish it from other nonrandom syndrome (without the use of DNA testing) requires the evaluation of clinical and laboratory endings not bone, especially the eyes, aorta, and heart. Complicating the persons physical assessment, a large clinical variability occurs in families that similar DNA variants. Skeletal system Most of the signs are conspicuously related to the skeletal system. Many individuals with Merman syndrome grow to a height above average. There is a long, slender legs (delimitations) with long fingers and toes (archaically). Hands of an individual may be disproportionately long, with thin, weak wrists. In addition to affecting height and parts of the body, Merman syndrome can produce other skeletal anomalies. Abnormal curvature of the spine (scoliosis), abnormal indentation (upsets excavated) or protrusion (upsets carination) of the sternum is not unusual. Other signs include unusual joint flexibility, a high palate, malocclusion, flat feet, hammer toe, hunched shoulders, and unexplained stretch marks on the skin. It can also cause pain in the joints, bones and muscles in some patients. Some people with Merman speech disorders resulting from symptoms high tastes and a small jaw. Early osteoarthritis can occur. Eyes Merman syndrome can also seriously affect the eyes and vision. Nearsightedness ND astigmatism are common, but farsightedness can also occur. Sublimation (dislocation) crystalline lens in one or both eyes (octopi lentils) (in of patients) also occur and can be detected by an ophthalmologist or optometrist using a slit-lamp biomorphic. In Merman dislocations typically supernormal whereas in the similar condition humanitarians, dislocation is inferential. Sometimes eye problems appear only after the weakness of connective tissue has caused detachment of the retina. Cardiovascular system The symptoms of the most serious and the symptoms associated with Merman yeomen involve the cardiovascular system: improper fatigue, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, racing heartbeat, or angina vectors with pain radiating to the back, shoulders, or arms. Cold hands, arms and legs can also be associated with Merman syndrome because of inadequate circulation. A heart murmur, abnormal reading on the EGG, or symptoms of angina can indicate further investigation. Signs of material regurgitation from prolapsed or aortic valve (which controls blood flow through the heart) result from cystic degeneration of the heart valves, which are usually associated with Merman syndrome (see atria valve prolapsed, aortic regurgitation). However, the main signs that will lead doctors to consider the underlying condition is dilated aorta or aortic aneurysms. Sometimes, no heart problems are apparent until the weakness of connective tissue (central cystic degeneration) in the ascending aorta causes an aortic aneurysm or aortic surgery, emergency surgery. An aortic dissection is most often fatal and presents with pain radiating to the back, giving a sense of tearing. Because connective tissue abnormalities underlying cause Merman syndrome, there is an increased incidence of dissidence of the material valve false. Care must be taken to try to repair a damaged heart valves rather than replacement. During pregnancy, even in the absence of normal cardiovascular assumptions, women with Merman syndrome greater risk for aortic dissection, which is often fatal even if treated quickly. Women with Merman syndrome, then, should receive a thorough assessment prior to conception, and chromatography should be performed every six to 10 weeks of pregnancy, to assess the aortic root diameter. For many women, safe vaginal delivery is possible. Lungs Pulmonary symptoms are not features of Merman syndrome, but spontaneous pneumonia is common. In spontaneous unilateral pneumonia, air escapes from the lung and occupies the pleural space between the chest wall and lungs. The lungs become partially compressed or collapsed. This can cause pain, shortness of breath, cyanogens, and, if left untreated, it can cause death. Other pulmonary manifestations of Merman syndrome may include sleep apneas and idiopathic obstructive lung disease. [Citation needed medical] of pathological changes in the lung has been described as changes in fibrosis, emphysema, pneumonia, bronchitiss, bubble, apical fibrosis and congenital anomalies such as the middle lobe hyperplasia The central nervous system Durra ecstasies, connective tissue weakness Durra sac encasing the spinal cord, although not life threatening, can reduce an individuals quality of life. It may be present for a long time without producing any noticeable symptoms. Symptoms that can occur are lower back pain, leg pain, abdominal pain, other neurological symptoms in the lower extremities, or headaches. The symptoms usually diminish when the individual lies flat on or back. These types of symptoms may lead a doctor to order an X-ray of the lower spine. Durra ecstasies is usually not visible on X-rays in the initial phase. A worsening of symptoms and the lack of ending any other reasons that will eventually lead a doctor to order an upright MR.. Of the lower spine. Durra ecstasies that has progressed to the point of causing these symptoms would appear in an upright MR.. Image as a dilated pouch wearing away at the lumbar spine. Other spinal issues associated with Merman syndrome include degenerative disc disease, spinal cysts and disputations. D) Conclusion (5 marks) For the conclusion for this test, student will understand and learn more about ultrasound. Ultrasound is cyclic sound pressure with a frequency greater than the upper limit of human hearing. Although this limit varies from person to errors, it is approximately 20 kilohertz (20,000 hertz) in healthy, young adults and thus, 20 kHz serves as a useful lower limit in describing ultrasound. The production of ultrasound is used in many different fields, typically to penetrate a medium and measure the reflection signature or supply focused energy. The reflection signature can reveal details about the inner structure of the medium, a property also used by animals such as bats for hunting. The most well known application of ultrasound is its use in iconography to produce pictures of fetus in the human womb. Student also will learn that an ultrasound-based diagnostic deiced imaging technique used to visualize muscles, tendons, and many internal organs, to capture their size, structure and any pathological lesions with real time demographic images. Ultrasound has been used by oceanographers to image the human body for at least 50 years and has become one of the most widely used diagnostic tools in modern medicine. The technology is relatively inexpensive and portable, especially when compared with other techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MR..) and computed tomography (CT). Ultrasound is also used to visualize fetus during routine and emergency prenatal care. Such diagnostic applications used during pregnancy are referred to as obstetric iconography. Discussion Ultrasound is cyclic sound pressure with a frequency greater than the upper limit of human hearing. Although this limit varies from person to person, it is approximately 20 kilohertz (20,000 hertz) in healthy, young adults and thus, 20 kHz serves as a useful lower limit in describing ultrasound. The production of ultrasound is used in many different fields, typically to penetrate a medium and measure the reflection signature or supply focused energy. The reflection signature can reveal details about the inner structure of the tedium, a property also used by animals such as bats for hunting. The most well known application of ultrasound is its use in iconography to produce pictures of fetus in the human womb. There are a vast number of other applications as well. Ultrasonic range A common use of ultrasound is in range finding; this use is also called SONAR, (sound navigation and ranging). This works similarly to RADAR (radio detection and ranging): An ultrasonic pulse is generated in a particular direction. If there is an object in the path of this pulse, part or all of the pulse will be reflected back o the transmitter as an echo and can be detected through the receiver path. By measuring the difference in time between the pulse being transmitted and the echo being received, it is possible to determine how far away the object is. The measured travel time of SONAR pulses in water is strongly dependent on the temperature and the salinity of the water. Ultrasonic ranging is also applied for measurement in air and for short distances. Such method is capable for easily and rapidly measuring the layout of rooms. Although range finding underwater is performed at both sub-audible and audible frequencies for great distances (1 to several kilometers), ultrasonic range finding is used when distances are shorter and the accuracy of the distance measurement is desired to be finer. Ultrasonic measurements may be limited through barrier layers with large salinity, temperature or vortex differentials. Ranging in water varies from about hundreds to thousands of meters, but can be performed with centimeters to meters accuracy. So in our study indicate that ultrasound can be used in different mod. From this mod can be generate more effective and as the result the producing a better image. Ultrasound scanners insist of a console containing a computer and electronics, a video display screen and a transducer that is used to scan the body and blood vessels. The transducer is a small hand-held device that resembles a microphone, attached to the scanner by a cord. The transducer sends out high frequency sound waves into the body and then listens for the returning echoes from the tissues in the body. The principles are similar to sonar used by boats and submarines. The ultrasound image is immediately visible on a nearby screen that looks much like a computer or television monitor. The image is created based on the amplitude strength), frequency and time it takes for the sound signal to return from the patient to the transducer. Common uses of the procedure? Ultrasound: Gallbladder Ultrasound: Kidney Ultrasound: Liver Ultrasound examinations can help to diagnose a variety of conditions and to assess organ damage following illness. Ultrasound is used to help physicians evaluate symptoms such as: pain swelling infection Ultrasound is a useful way of examining many of the bodys internal organs, including but not limited to the: heart and blood vessels, including the abdominal aorta and its major branches liver gallbladder spleen pancreas kidneys ladder uterus, ovaries, and unborn child (fetus) in pregnant patients eyes thyroid and parathyroid glands scrotum (testicles) Ultrasound is also used to : Guide procedures such as needle biopsies, in which needles are used to extract sample cells from an abnormal area for laboratory testing. Image the breasts and to guide biopsy of breast cancer (see the Ultrasound-Guided Breast Biopsy page). Diagnose a variety of heart conditions and to assess damage after a heart attack or diagnose for uvular heart disease. Doppler ultrasound images can help the physician to see and evaluate: Blockages to blood flow (such as clots). Narrowing of vessels (which may be caused by plaque). Tumors and congenital malformation.
